The Firefly DE608 4K General Examination Camera delivers high-resolution live video for detailed examination across a range of clinical applications. Featuring a 4K camera sensor with a maximum resolution of 3840 × 2160, the DE608 provides clear, detailed live imaging beyond standard 1080p.

With variable focus, up to 50× optical magnification, integrated polarisation and 16 ultra-bright LEDs, the DE608 is designed to provide flexible imaging for both close-up and distant subjects.

True 4K Image Quality

Go beyond 1080p with the DE608's ultra-high-resolution 4K sensor. With a maximum resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels and a frame rate of 30 FPS, the camera provides smooth, detailed live video for examination and documentation.

Variable Focus for Close-Up and Distant Viewing

The DE608 features variable focus, allowing users to focus on subjects at different distances. From close-up examination of skin lesions and other areas of interest to viewing the throat or subjects from a distance, the adjustable focus provides flexibility across a variety of examination situations.

For contact viewing, the camera provides a 27 × 38 mm viewing area, making it suitable for dermoscopic applications.

Up to 50× Optical Magnification

With up to 50× optical magnification, the DE608 allows users to examine areas of interest with greater detail while maintaining the benefits of optical magnification.

Multi-Layer Glass Lens System

The DE608 uses 3-layer glass lenses rather than plastic alternatives. The multi-layer optical system is designed to provide clear images and strong depth perception, supporting detailed visual examination.

The lens assembly also incorporates a 650 nm cutoff and an integrated polarizer with variable settings.

Advanced Light Management

Effective lighting is essential for high-quality clinical imaging. Reflections and excessive incoming light can affect image quality and result in overexposed or washed-out images.

The DE608 combines its lens assembly with image processing technology to help manage incoming light and reduce unwanted overexposure. 16 ultra-bright LEDs provide strong illumination, with four brightness settings available to adjust lighting according to the examination.

Easy USB 3.0 Integration

The DE608 connects through USB 3.0 and uses standard webcam drivers, making integration straightforward. Simply connect the camera to an available USB port and select the DE608 as the live video source in compatible applications.

This makes the camera suitable for telehealth, video conferencing and other compatible imaging applications without requiring specialised camera drivers.

Captured images and videos can be saved in JPG and AVI formats.
